Project Goals

The Highland and Marcella Streets site involves 33 DND vacant land parcels (including some recently transferred to DND by the BPDA). The DND and BPDA team has worked with our community partner, the Highland Park Project Review Committee, to define a community mission and values and development and design criteria for a development Request for Proposals. The RFP, including 5 development packages, was issued in November 2017 and due on February 14, 2018. There are 9 viable development proposals: Package 1 includes 2 eligible proposals, Package 2 includes 2 eligible proposals and Package 4 includes 5 eligible proposals. There are no eligible proposals for Packages 3 and 5. Community review of the proposals will occur on April 7 and April 14, 2018 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Shelburne Community Center at 2730 Washington Street. Evaluation of the proposals will continue in April and the Selection Committee looks to have developer recommendations spring 2018.
