Project Goals

Brighton Marine Health Center and Winn Development are constructing a new building and renovating one of the historic buildings on this site to create 102 units of mixed-income housing with a veterans’ preference. Eighty of the units will be affordable, while 22 units will be market rate units. All 102 units will have a preference for veterans. The 80 affordable rental units will be 9 studios, 37 1- bedrooms, 26 2-bedrooms and 8 3-bedrooms. All will have a veterans preference. Ten units will be available to middle income tenants earning 80% of AMI. These ten units break down as follows: 2 studios, 4 1-bedrooms, 3 2-bedrooms and 1 3-bedroom. These also have a veterans preference. Finally, 22 market-rate units will also have a veterans' preference. Those units will be: 2 studios, 10 1-bedrooms, 7 2-bedrooms and 3 3-bedroom units.
