Join the Climate Ready East Boston/ Charlestown virtual open house

Join the Climate Ready Boston team to learn about the second phase of planning for coastal resilience solutions and share your feedback.

The City of Boston’s Climate Ready Boston team has launched the next phase of the neighborhood coastal resilience planning process for East Boston and Charlestown. This study seeks to expand the analysis of the neighborhoods to areas not covered in the 2017 Phase I study and provide ways to build on the neighborhood flood protection ideas. At the first Open House we introduced the project, discussed coastal flood risks facing the communities, and examined different ways that these risks might be addressed.-

Check out the bottom of this page for videos that introduce the project and explain coastal risks in East Boston and Charlestown.

At this second community virtual Open House, we will talk about preliminary recommendations for flood protection in each neighborhood, discuss how community and stakeholder input informed these recommendations, and ask you for feedback as we continue refining the recommendations.
