Residents played an important role in stopping the planned I-95 and in the efforts to create a park out of the razed land. This walking tour will follow the path of the park and discuss the changes in landscape to that section of Jamaica Plain and the communities that forged those changes.

We invite you to continue the conversation after the tour at Doyle’s Café, where light refreshments will be on offer (cash bar). Please note the tour starts at the Jackson Square T stop and ends near the Green Street T stop.

This free event is sponsored by Jamaica Plain Historical Society.
