Rachel Redd is a native of Boston’s Grove Hall neighborhood. Since she was 13 years old, Rachel has been a working actress, first co-starring on the Emmy nominated PBS Kids show, “Zoom”. After graduating from Boston Arts Academy where she studied theatre, Rachel graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Drama from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time she also appeared on episodes of the TBS show, “Meet the Browns."
As the Executive Assistant, Rachel supports the day-to-day operations of the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture and works closely with Chief Julie Burros and staff on Mayor Walsh’s initiatives to support the development of emerging artists like herself throughout the City. She also helps facilitate the City of Boston's Racial Equity Learning Series.
Rachel remains an active member of both the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Actors Equity Association (AEA).
