BCYF Clougherty is an outdoor pool which operates from June to September. It will open for the season on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Summer Pool Procedures

Contact: Boston Centers for Youth and Families

Please read carefully as there are several procedures in place to ensure the safety of pool visitors. 

  • Visitors must create a free membership in the system at Boston.gov/BCYF-Registration. If you already attend BCYF programming and are a BCYF member, you don't need to create another membership.
  • While pre-registration will not be required on weekdays, due to the increased demand on weekends, you are encouraged to register for a swim time slot at Boston.gov/BCYF-Clougherty for Saturdays and Sundays. To guarantee a slot and prevent lines, please register in advance. There will be some walk-in slots available, first come, first served.
  • Registration will go live 24 hours before the following day’s sessions and will remain open until all spots are taken or until the session is half over, whichever comes first. 
  • Swim sessions will be one hour and 45 minutes.
  • There is a 15 minute grace period after which your slot will go to someone in line if you do not show up.
  • Boston residents only.
  • Children under eight need an adult in the water with them at all times. 
  • Three children under 12 are allowed per adult. 
  • All pools will be staffed by trained lifeguards.
  • Please bring your own water.

The Public Facilities Department (PFD), Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF), and the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services worked together on a two-year renovation of the pool and bathhouse that will be complete for summer 2025.
