Boston CANshare

This annual campaign helps to fight hunger and increase access to fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables for all Bostonians.

Our next CANshare fundraising campaign will help us to continue to take part in the Healthy Incentives Program. We also plan to expand this incentive program at brick and mortar locations in underserved neighborhoods. We need your help to do this!

Stay tuned for our fundraising efforts in Spring 2018. Please keep your giving spirit up! Your contributions empower SNAP users in the City, giving them access to healthy, local food.

How you can take part

Thank you for your donation!

Our efforts to alleviate food insecurity can't take effect unless we have the support of everyone in our community.

The Mayor's Office of Food Access is very grateful for all of our CANshare Sponsors. Your generous donations will support the Boston Bounty Bucks program.

About the campaign

For many years, your support and contributions have made the CANshare Campaign a success. Thanks to your help, we’ve been able to take part in the state’s Healthy Incentives Program. Over the next three years, we’ll be able to offer SNAP recipients incentives to buy fruits and vegetables at:

  • farmers markets
  • Fresh Trucks, and
  • Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs.

During the first six months of the Healthy Incentives Program, the amount of SNAP incentives earned has been three times that of the whole 2016 year! This is all thanks to you!
