Boston CANshare

The annual campaign helps to fight hunger and increase access to fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables for all Bostonians.

We are excited to announce the 2018 Boston CANshare fundraising campaign. This year CANshare will run from October 29, 2018, to January 11, 2019.

For many years, our CANshare fundraiser has helped Bostonians put food on their table.  Residents have been able to stretch their SNAP dollars while purchasing healthy foods, including fruits and vegetables.

Please bring back your giving spirit! Your contributions empower SNAP users in the City. We're giving them access to the food they need and want.

How you can take part

The Annual CANshare fundraiser will begin on October 20, 2018, and will run until January 11, 2019. If you want to contribute, or if you have any questions about sponsorships, please contact us at bostoncanshare@boston.gov or call 617-635-3717.

Thank you for your donation!

Our efforts to alleviate food insecurity can't take effect unless we have the support of everyone in our community.

The Mayor's Office of Food Access is very grateful for all of our CANshare Sponsors. Your generous donations will support both the Healthy Incentives Program and the Boston Double Up Food Bucks program. Both initiatives increase access to healthy food.

About the campaign

For many years, your support and contributions have made the CANshare campaign a success. Because of your donations, we're able to support SNAP-matching programs for Boston residents. Your contributions help low-income families, giving them access to the healthy food they need and want.
