Linda Kupstis

Business Analyst

Linda Kupstis is a Business Analyst for the BAIS Financials Team. BAIS stands for Boston’s Administrative Information Systems. The system helps manage the City's PeopleSoft software. PeopleSoft is used for citywide financial systems, payroll, and human resource support functions.

Linda handles access and security for BAIS Financials whenever there are personnel changes. She also manages the Track-It system that handles service requests. Linda makes sure BAIS Financials requests get to the right place.

Linda says that even though she works for Innovation and Technology, she is not a technical person. She says her three years of experience with the City have helped her learn the technical side.

Linda started working for the City of Boston 30 years ago in the Auditing Department. She went on to work in the Rent Control Division. Linda then joined the team that migrated the City to our current PeopleSoft system. “It was a lot of hard work, but it was a lot of fun,” Linda said.

Linda credits her success and longevity working for the City to her managers. “I can't say enough about how my managers have always helped me excel and always supported me.”

She loves working and living in Boston. She says Boston has everything that a major city needs, including four seasons and great restaurants. Linda admits she may be biased because she’s from here.
