Neil R. Janulewicz, Jr.
Neil R. Janulewicz, Jr. Esq. currently serves as Assistant Commissioner for the Plans and Zoning Division at the Inspectional Services Department (ISD). Prior to his appointment as Assistant Commissioner, Neil served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for ISD, where he represented ISD in litigation to enforce the Boston Zoning Code, State Building and Sanitary Codes, and Municipal Ordinances and provided legal advice to the Commissioner and Senior Staff.
Before joining the City, Neil practiced law at Kaplan Law LLC, where he represented clients in a wide range of business and real estate litigation, including zoning litigation. Prior to law school, Neil worked in the Client Service Group and Corporate Actions Department at Brown Brothers Harriman.
Neil is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boston and the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. Neil has participated in the Eastern Division of the Housing Court Bench /Bar Forum and has presented at MCLE’s Demystifying Boston Zoning program.
In his free time, Neil coaches youth baseball, softball, and hockey for Dorchester Little League, ADSL Softball, and Dorchester Youth Hockey.
