Tim Davis

Deputy Director, Policy Development and Research

Tim manages our Policy Development and Research (PDR) division, supporting DND with program development, research and policy analysis, mapping and data services, as well as grant-writing and assistance on regulatory and compliance matters. PDR staff also oversee the citizen participation process for the City of Boston’s annual grant allocations from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and prepare the federally required plans and reports.

Tim joined DND in February 2020. Prior to DND, he was the Housing Policy Manager at the Boston Planning & Development Agency,  where he oversaw the implementation of the City of Boston's Inclusionary Development Policy. Having worked previously at DND, from 1998 to 2006, first as a Senior Program Manager in the Boston Home Center and then as a Senior Research and Policy Analyst in PDR, he has first-hand experience of DND’s work.  Overall Tim has worked in housing and community development for 20+ years, including positions at a community development corporation, with a large community foundation, and as an independent research consultant.
