Yifan is a Program Director with the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics and is the 2019-2020 yearlong fellow with the team.

Before joining New Urban Mechanics full-time, Yifan was the Program Manager for Boston's Safest Driver, a paradoxical attempt to influence driver behavior in the greater Boston region through a telematics app. Yifan recently received her MBA at MIT Sloan, where she collaborated with the AgeLab and the Governor’s Council to Address Aging in Massachusetts on technology and innovation initiatives. Prior to moving to the Boston area for graduate school, Yifan spent two years at Cisco Investments in San Francisco, working on investments and acquisitions. In a previous life, she was an investment banker at J.P. Morgan, where she advised tech, media, and telecom companies on strategic matters.
