Ilona Kramer
Program Director, Mayor's Office of New Urban Mechanics
Ilona is a Program Director in the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics working on projects with the Transportation Department, Housing Innovation Lab, Budget Office and Health and Human Services cabinet. As a summer fellow in 2015, Ilona developed short and long-term solutions to reanimate City Hall Plaza. Prior to working with the Mechanics, Ilona worked for the City of New York on land use, transportation, affordable housing and economic development projects. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and a Bachelor’s Degree from Wesleyan University. She appeared on an episode of Sesame Street when she was 5, but has kept a low profile since then.
