Moakley Park Ideas Competition 2016

Moakley Park Aerial
The Boston Society of Landscape Architects (BSLA) with support from Boston Harbor Now, hosted the Moakley Park Ideas Competition from September 14-27, 2016. The competition was a call for designers to initiate a dialogue and spur thinking about the design potential of one of the City’s largest waterfront parks.

The Joe Moakley Park Ideas Competition brought forward innovative visions for Moakley Park that make the most of its size and location to provide equitable access to outstanding recreational and cultural opportunities while introducing ideas that demonstrate adaptability and resilience in the face of climate change.
