Alexandra (Allie) Puleo
Alexandra (Allie) Puleo is the Policy and Research Manager for the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement. Her work is focused on topics related to women’s safety and empowerment; she also coordinates special events for the office. Allie is a graduate of Trinity College (BA, Political Science) and Brooklyn Law School (JD). Her law school studies and internships focused on public interest law and women’s rights, with a particular interest in assisting survivors of domestic violence. She is a recipient of Brooklyn Law School’s Carole Mehlman Gould Prize for women’s rights work and was a Sparer Public Interest Fellow.
Allie’s professional experience includes policy and program oversight for recovery housing certification, criminal defense-related advocacy and mitigation, and family, immigration, and criminal law services for domestic violence survivors. Her interests include yoga, bringing her neighbors together through the Buy Nothing Project, and cooking. She lives in Roslindale with her husband and their “font cats,” Serif and Helvetica.
