Boston Public Health Commission
The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) serves as Boston's local health department, providing a wide range of health services and programs to protect, preserve, and promote the health and well-being of all Boston residents, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
BPHC envisions a thriving Boston where all residents live healthy, fulfilling lives free of racism, poverty, violence, and other systems of oppression.
BPHC has been leading Boston’s collaborative response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Find the latest data on the Boston COVID-19 Dashboard and our COVID-19 response page.
BPHC is an independent public agency governed by a seven-member board of health appointed by the Mayor of Boston.
