Places to stay cool in hot weather

BCYF Community Centers become cooling centers during periods of extreme heat.

Update: Due to the declared heat emergency, we will open additional community centers on Saturday, July 20, and Sunday, July 21.

  • BCYF locations not normally scheduled to be open will operate 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. BCYF Marshall will be closed due to maintenance.  The BCYF Charlestown (Charlestown High School) pool is not open weekends.
  • All other BCYF locations will operate their scheduled hours.

Anyone can cool off inside with air conditioning. If you're not a member, you must complete an enrollment form to use our pools. The following BCYF community centers may open as Cooling Centers and swim locations during periods of extreme heat. When we activate cooling centers, anyone is welcome to come in and cool off.
