Celebrate Halloween with BCYF

Join us for a variety of thrills and chills to celebrate the season!

From a costumed roller skate night to haunted houses, Boston Centers for Youth & Families’ (BCYF) community centers are hosting a variety of Halloween activities. Check our website for regular updates. Below is the schedule as of October 6. Call the center listed for more information.

Friday, October 20

BCYF Leahy Holloran Community Center

  • Kids Spooky Halloween Bash. All ages fall-themed games, and DJ. Fee $5. Food and drink will be available for sale. 5-8 p.m.
  • Glow in the Dark Mini Golf. Fee: $5 per person, $20 maximum per family.

Sunday, October 22

BCYF Hyde Park Community Center

  • “Paint a pumpkin with the Police.” Come to the center between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and create your own decorated pumpkin with our police friends at Area E-18. Pumpkins and snacks provided. RSVP by October 18 at 617-635-5175. Ideal for ages 10 and under.

Wednesday, October 25

BCYF Leahy Holloran Community Center

  • Halloween Science Party for ages 6-12 Spooky experiments that pop, scream, smoke, bubble, and erupt! 4-6:30 p.m.  Fee: $10.

BCYF Menino Community Center

  • Halloween Academics" featuring “Education Stations.”  Every station hands out learning tasks and fun project creations along with treats and trinkets! Ages 6-12. 5-7 p.m.

Friday, October 27

BCYF Blackstone Community Center

  • Teen Halloween Party for ages 12-18 with DJ, games, food and more. Dancing in the gym, activities in the Teen Center. 6-9 p.m. Free.

BCYF Girls Skate Night

  • Halloween themed Skate Night at Chez Vous for girls and boys ages 6-17 (12 and under must come with parent/guardian.) 4-7 p.m. Sponsored by the Shannon Grant, Boston P.A.L. and the Foundation for BCYF.

BCYF Nazzaro Community Center

  • Halloween Dance at the BCYF Nazzaro Center from 7-10 p.m. Ages 10 and older.  Food, contests, prizes, and DJ. Free.

BCYF Ohrenberger Community Center

  • "Masquerade Ball" for ages 11-15, 7-9 p.m.

BCYF Paris Street Community Center

  • Halloween party in collaboration with BPD from 5-7 p.m. DJ, inflatables, games, arts & crafts, balloon twister artist, food, and more. 

BCYF Tynan Community Center

  • Annual Children's Halloween Party sponsored by the Tynan Council will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. and will include Costume Parade, refreshments, music, games, and more.

BCYF Pino Community Center

  • Halloween Party for youth ages 16 and under. Music, games, candy, raffle prizes and best costume contest. 6-8 p.m. Free.

Tuesday, October 31

BCYF Curtis Hall Community Center

  • In partnership with Mosaic Church of JP, BCYF Curtis Hall will host “Trunk or Treat” from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot at the center. Various cars will be decorated and their trunks filled with games and activities.

BCYF Nazzaro Community Center

  • Party in BCYF Nazzaro playground, 2-6 p.m. All ages welcome. Games, music, food, four (!) bouncy houses, pumpkin carving, and face painting. Free.

BCYF Roche Family Community Center

  • BCYF Roche is one of the stops for the “Parkway in Motion” Halloween Party which includes trick or treating down Centre Street. 10 - 11 a.m.  Must register for this party at parkwayinmotion.org/events/trick-or-treat.

BCYF Tobin Community Center

  • "Halloween on the Hill" starts at 4 p.m. at the BCYF Tobin and ends at One Brigham Circle at 8 p.m. In collaboration with Mission Hill Youth Collaborative and many local agencies, families can participate in the following activities: Haunted Halls, Pony Rides, pumpkin painting, trick or treating and more.

Wednesday, November 1

BCYF Grove Hall Senior Center

  • Halloween luncheon for neighborhood seniors. 12-4 p.m. Free center membership required.
