How to take part in a Parks and Recreation hearing

Last updated:

Due to COVID-19, our tree removal and Boston Parks and Recreation Commission hearings are being held online. We have information below on how you can take part:

Step
1

Find out when the next meeting takes place

Please note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis, all of our hearings are being held online only.

We place all of our meetings on the public notices section of Boston.gov. In the individual notices, you will find links to how to access our online hearings, as well as meeting ID numbers and passwords.

If you have questions, contact 617-635-4505. You can also email parks@boston.gov for tree removal hearing questions, and prc@boston.gov for Parks and Recreation Commission questions.

Step
2

Attend the meeting online

Make sure to click on the link for the meeting you want to attend before the meeting starts. Remember, the login information — including the meeting ID number and password — will be in the individual notice on our public notices website.

Step
3

Offer public testimony, if you want

During the online hearing, members of the public may submit any comments or questions by “raising their hand”, or by typing in the chat box.

You can also provide public testimony before the meeting, by mail or email:
