Greater Boston Women’s Vote Centennial

We’re honoring the work of those who fought for women's right to vote by calling for increased civic engagement throughout Greater Boston in 2020.

The Greater Boston Women’s Vote Centennial is a special project within Women’s Advancement. We’re commemorating 100 years since Massachusetts became the eighth state to ratify the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The 19th Amendment enabled women to vote in federal and state elections. We hope Bostonians will learn about the activism and hard work it took to win recognition for the right to vote. We want to inspire you to take part in our democracy fully.
