Developer

The Boston Partnership for Community Reinvestment, LLC

Project Goals

The development site involves 7 parcels of vacant, City-owned land located in the Mt. Bowdoin/Mallon area in Dorchester. The parcels are targeted for development for new homeownership housing as part of the City's Neighborhood Homes Initiative (NHI). Under NHI, DND works with abutters and community partners to define model home designs and development criteria for new mixed income housing to be included in housing Request for Proposals (RFP).

Development of these sites is important because it will enhance the residential fabric of the street and reinforce family ownership housing on currently vacant parcels.

DND with the Greater Four Corners Action Coalition and the Mt Bowdoin Betterment Association held community meetings and through successful community engagement, agree upon development sites and home designs.

The Boston Partnership for Community Investment, LLC is the tentatively designated developer and have begun preliminary site work. Construction is slated to begin Spring of 2022.
