Who can install or replace siding?
- Homeowners and contractors can apply for the Short-form Permit.
- Only a contractor with a valid, non-expired Massachusetts trade license may apply for an Electrical Permit and perform any work related to installing or replacing electrical services or wiring.
What permits do I need?

- For replacing siding when no other structural changes need to be made, such as cutting into a wall.
