About My Brother's Keeper Boston
In September 2014, Mayor Walsh accepted President Barack Obama's MBK Community Challenge. Over the past two years, through the support of the MBK Boston Advisory Committee, partnering organizations, and the community, Boston has hosted a community action summit, launched an action plan, reached milestones towards this action plan, shared best practices with other MBK communities, and has celebrated great achievements among Boston youth and young adults, especially Black and Latino boys and young men of color.
MBK Boston is dedicated to improve life outcomes for Black and Latino boys and young men as well as all youth and young adults. MBK Boston is focused on three major milestones including 1) Ensuring youth graduate from high school ready for college and career; 2) Ensuring youth successfully entering the workforce; and 3) Reducing youth violence, and providing a second chance.
