We direct all municipal, state, and federal elections within Boston. We also register voters, conduct an annual listing of Boston residents, and educate the public on the importance of voting.

The Preliminary Municipal Election is September 24, 2019Polling locations will be open across the City from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. There is no early voting for the Municipal Elections. If you will be away on Election Day, you can complete an Absentee Ballot.

The voter registration deadline for the Preliminary Municipal Election is September 4, 2019. Not sure of your voter status? You can check your voter registration status on the state's website.
