Lauren is an artist from Boston. She dabbles in all crafts but finds her strength in painting, drawing and printing. Her oldest works consist of pencil sketches of WWF wrestlers and girls wearing shirts with puffy sleeves done in kindergarten, and hundreds of charming aliens from the grade school era.
In 2012, Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the School of Science and Engineering at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. While reading about neurons and running SPSS tests, she would fill up every notebook and occasional textbook (sorry mom) with drawings of people, places, and things. Her passion for creating pushed her to complete a minor in Studio Art with a focus in painting.
Lauren listens to a lot of rap music and loves swimming in the ocean. See some of her most recent pieces.
For almost four years, Lauren practiced art daily with children in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and outpatient clinics through the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp's Hospital Outreach® Program.
In early 2016, Lauren completed the Philadelphia Mural Arts "Mural Training Program," where she continued to develop her community art making skills. She is currently leading a team of young artists in painting murals this summer through the City of Boston's Department of Arts and Culture. Follow along with the Mayor's Mural Crew!
