Communication Improvements at Traffic Signals

The City of Boston (City), acting by and through its Deputy Chief of Streets for Transportation, who serves as the Boston Transportation Department (BTD) Commissioner, invites electronic bids for the service generally described above, and particularly as set forth in Bid Documents (Documents). 

These contracts are procured under the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws and are subject to the Prevailing Wage Rates

Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid amount. Attention: Contractors cannot submit a bid without being prequalified for Traffic Signal work through the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. You can prequalify on the Massachusetts Department of Transportation website at https://www.mass.gov/how-to/submit-a-contractor-application-for-prequalification

The Documents shall be available on the City of Boston website at boston.gov/supplierportal (Event Number EV00013834) beginning at 10:00 am on Monday, March 11, 2024. Completed documents must be signed and submitted electronically to the above Event Number via the City of Boston Supplier Portal containing all sections and pages of the Documents no later than 12:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

The term of the contract shall be three (3) years starting on or about June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2027.

Sealed Bids shall be opened read aloud through a virtual meeting by the Official, Boston Transportation Department on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm. at Boston City Hall, Boston, MA. Interested parties will be able to view the event live through a link provided by the Boston Transportation Department, upon receiving your bid packet.
