If you are repairing a roof, you’ll need to apply for a Short-Form permit.
Who can repair a roof?
- Homeowners and contractors can apply for the Short-form Permit.
- Homeowners and contractors can repair a roof if the work is being done on a 1-2 unit owner-occupied home.
- You must hire a contractor to perform the work if it’s being done on a three-family or bigger dwelling, such as:
- an apartment building
- a multi-unit condo, or
- one floor of a triple-decker house.
