Americans with Disabilities Act Celebration Day

We're celebrating the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This free event is for children, families, and individuals of all abilities.

ADA Day is a yearly celebration of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is held in Boston around the last week of July near the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act signing. Each year, we honor a local organization that has made an impact on accessibility or inclusion in Boston. ADA Celebration Day is an event for people of all ages and all abilities to come together and celebrate a milestone in the disability community.

This year’s ADA Day theme is “Reconnecting”.

Join us for food, music, a civic engagement fair, friends, and fun

ADA Day will be held as a hybrid event this year. Along with the in-person event at Copley Square Park, a virtual event will be held on Zoom. Virtual attendees can request an ADA Day t-shirt on the pre-registration form. T-shirts will be mailed after ADA Day. Information on how to connect to the virtual ADA Day event will be posted closer to the event.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at ADA DAY

We are happy to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Copley Square Park during ADA Day, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.. The one-dose J&J vaccine will be available for those 18 and older, as will the two-dose Pfizer vaccine for those 12 and older. You can visit any clinic offering Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for your second dose. A second clinic will be available in the Copley area three weeks later, or you can check the state's website to find any clinic that is convenient to you. Appointments are encouraged, but walk ups are also welcome. You can register online for a vaccine slot at ADA Day.
