Get free legal help with your citizenship application
Mayor Michelle Wu, the City of Boston Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement (MOIA), and Project Citizenship are hosting Citizenship Day on April 1, 2023 at the Reggie Lewis State Track Athletic Center. The annual event is an opportunity for people who are eligible for naturalization to get free legal help with their citizenship application.
People must first call 617-694-5949 to make an appointment. You can also schedule a phone call.

Volunteer
Citizenship Day is possible thanks to hundreds of volunteers! Lawyers, law students, and community members are all welcome.
MORE DETAILS:
- No prior experience is needed.
- Volunteers must commit to the full day; lunch will be provided.
- Non-attorney volunteers may be assigned various roles including registration, interpretation, and helping people fill out the citizenship application.
- Licensed attorneys review the filled out application for accuracy and completeness.
