Schools shift to all remote learning

Due to a rising COVID-19 infection rate in the City, all Boston Public Schools students will shift to remote learning effective Thursday, October 22.
City department hours

City Hall is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If you need to visit a department, you must make an appointment.

Drive-in movie: 'Hocus Pocus' - Age Strong matinee

Boston residents age 55 and older are invited to join the Age Strong Commission for a special matinee experience. 

Mayor Martin J. Walsh, Boston Parks and Recreation, and the Mayor’s Office of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment invite you to the Fall Drive-in Movie Series. 

This series is made possible by support from the Highland Street Foundation, in partnership with the Age Strong Commission, and host site, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. 

This matinee is free, family-friendly, and open to residents of Boston age 55 and older. All event attendees must pre-register through the Age Strong Commission by calling 617-635-3959 or emailing Marybeth.kelly@boston.gov
