Schools shift to all remote learning

Due to a rising COVID-19 infection rate in the City, all Boston Public Schools students will shift to remote learning effective Thursday, October 22.
City department hours

City Hall is open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If you need to visit a department, you must make an appointment.

Historic gems of the Back Bay Fens

From foul muddy flats to the parkland of today, the Fens has undergone many transformations in the last 125 years.

Join Emerald Necklace docents as they talk and walk the historic landscape. Stops include the Kelleher Rose Garden, with its more than 1,500 roses and reconstructed fountain, the oldest WWII Victory Gardens in America, and a special visit to the Veterans Memorial in honor of Armed Forces Day.

The tour begins and ends at the Shattuck Visitor Center, 125 The Fenway, Boston, MA 02115. It's free and open to the public. No registration required. Bring a refillable water bottle and wear comfortable walking shoes.
