The North American Indian Center of Boston and the Rose Kennedy Greenway in collaboration with the Solomon Northup Committee for Commemorative Works (Marksville, Louisiana) invite the public to an unveiling of "Hope Out of Darkness," The temporary installation depicts Solomon Northup who after twelve years of enslavement, then self-liberated and advocated for abolition in Boston and across New England.

The statue will be installed starting October 20 through the middle of December 2025.
