Senior Rowing Program
Join the Age Strong Commission on the Charles River for a rowing program that seniors of all skill levels can engage in!
Age Strong and Community Rowing Inc. are collaborating to bring rowing programs to the older adults of Boston. Throughout the summer and into the fall, we offer two different programs that seniors can participate in to get onto the water in a fun and engaging environment.
These programs take place at the Harry Parker Boathouse, 20 Nonantum Road, Brighton, MA 02135
Groups of older adults in sizes of 8-12 will learn the basics rowing and navigating on the water, guided by knowledgeable instructors from CRI. This is a beginner-friendly course and welcomes rowers of all skill levels to get to know how to row!
In this weekly class, more experienced senior rowers who have completed the "Learn to Row Program" or have some rowing experience will be able to navigate the Charles River with other experience senior rowers with the help of a professional from CRI. This program is for those who consider themselves intermediate-level or higher rowers.
