Join Boston's Age Strong Commission at Spontaneous Celebrations for our Fall and Winter Wellness Programming!
Boston’s Age Strong Commission offers a variety of free programming across neighborhoods for older residents age 55+, including Tuesdays and Thursdays at Spontaneous Celebrations, 45 Danforth Street in Jamaica Plain.
Folks are encouraged to register for the classes, but drop-ins are always welcome.

ScheduleMorning movement and stretching teaches basic stretching routines to keep bodies flexible and agile.
Learn the principles of mindfulness and techniques to build a mindfulness practice, through guided examples and group discussion. Designed for beginners. Based on the best-selling book, Mindfulness: A Practical Guide to Finding Peace in a Frantic World by Mark Williams and Danny Penman.
A seated yoga class for those with limited mobility integrating gentle stretching, breathing, and rhythmic movements set to soothing music.
Unwind and unplug from your stress. Lay down or be seated and let crystal singing bowls replace stress with calm and tranquility. Please bring a blanket or yoga mat and an eye mask. No movement or meditation experience needed.
Bollywood dance class designed for older adults focusing on the vibrant, expressive dance style of Bollywood, originating from Indian films. Features low-impact movements with fun, energetic music.
Modified Pilates exercises to improve posture, core strength, stability, and joint health. Seated and standing exercises, leg and hip mobility movements, and light balance work, using breath to guide movements.
