Boston Harbor Pumpout Services

Vessels operating in Boston Harbor have numerous resources to comply with the EPA’s No-Discharge Area.

Request a Pump Out

The City of Boston offers free holding tank discharge services to vessels operating in the Boston Harbor No-Discharge Area with a 31-foot boat called Head of the Harbor.

On-call and scheduled service is available in the summer season (May 15 - September 30) on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Scheduled service is available during the colder months (October 1 - May 14) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
