Laura Oggeri is the Chief Communications Officer for the City of Boston. In this role, she leads the overall communications and media relations strategies to support Mayor Martin J. Walsh's vision for a thriving, healthy and innovative city.
Prior to joining the City of Boston, Laura worked for the President of the Massachusetts Senate as Director of Communications and Senior Policy Advisor. In this capacity, she served as spokesperson for the Massachusetts Senate and communicated the Senate's legislative priorities to statewide and national press outlets.
Laura was also a member of the corporate and public affairs teams at the public relations firm MSLGROUP in Boston. She specialized in crisis communications and developed strategic messaging for clients in the health care and higher education industries, as well as non-profit and advocacy organizations.
Laura holds a B.S. in Communications from Boston University.
