Boston Parks Summer Fitness series

Join us for free virtual fitness classes!

Classes start on June 1 and end on September 26. Everyone is welcome at our classes, no matter what your fitness level is.

For information on cancellations, check Twitter at @healthyboston and @bostonparksdept. You can also call 617-534-2355. There will be no classes July 4 and September 7.

Fitness class descriptions


Bootcamp classes target your cardiovascular system and muscles by using exercises like jumping jacks, push-ups, and lunges.


A gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair, or standing on the ground while using the chair for support.

Strength Training

Strength Training is a 60-minute workout that consists of bodyweight exercises to help increase lean muscle tissue and improve muscular strength and endurance.

Afrobeat Bootcamp

Afrobeats is infused with both the music and dance of Ghana, Nigeria, Angola, Congo, Senegal, Black America, and so many other regions of the diaspora.

High Intensity Interval Training

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is repeated bouts of short duration, high-intensity exercise intervals. These are intermingled with periods of lower intensity intervals of active recovery.

Line Dancing

Move to the music in a fun workout that involves choreographed steps and upbeat dancing.


Dance Fit is a cardio dance class that will get your heart pumping and hips shaking while combining strength moves to get you stronger! Move and dance to the beat while breaking a sweat and torching calories.


Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in ancient India. Yoga helps your mental and physical being, releases stress, and expands your energy. Instructors will provide flow movement for people of all levels.
