Marie Carr

Economic Policy Summer Fellow

Marie Carr was born and raised in South Boston alongside her three older brothers, a fact that she regards as quite the accomplishment and the beginning of her love for women’s empowerment. After attending Boston Latin Academy, she moved on to Emmanuel College where she double majors in Secondary Education and English. She hopes to one day become an English teacher in the Boston Public School system like those who inspired her. This summer, she is working with the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement as an Economic Policy Fellow in hopes to improve the quality of life for women and children in the City of Boston. She is exceptionally excited to take in as much as she can from her time with the City of Boston.
