Moreover, Tasha is known and beloved throughout the city for her incredible food which she is now able to share with her community through her restaurant, Park 54 Restaurant & Lounge. The name "Park 54" is inspired by the life and service of the men who served in the 54th Regiment - a volunteer infantry comprised of free Black American male soldiers. The regiment was established in Readville, MA, now known as "Hyde Park." Despite the backlash, the men received for fighting in a "white man's war" each bravely risked their lives for the freedom and betterment of their families, community, and country. Park 54’s mission, through Tasha Hull and co-owner, Andre Walker, is to continue the legacy of the historical 54th Regiment. They have created a safe haven where their beloved community of Hyde Park and the neighboring towns, can experience the freedom, happiness, and fullness of self-expression the 54th Regiment  fought for. Having only been open for less than a year, they have already accomplished this by offering great food, innovative libations, incredible music, compelling historical artifacts, and an inviting ambiance!
