Racial Health Equity Advisory Committee
The Racial Health Equity Advisory Committee (RHEAC) is an advisory body of the BPHC. The RHEAC participates in the planning, development, and implementation of BPHC's Anti-Racism Policy and Action Plan. RHEAC ensures that BPHC's work is responsive to community needs.
About the Committee
A culture of equitable community engagement where the lived experiences and expertise of Boston residents historically impacted by health inequities, is reflected in BPHC decision-making.
The RHEAC is made of ten members appointed by BPHC's Executive Director. Members serve a 2-year term. Members are Boston residents that reflect Boston’s ethnically and culturally diverse populations, neighborhoods, languages, and other life experiences. RHEAC membership reflects the communities impacted by health inequities.
The RHEAC meets once a month and no more than ten times per year.
The RHEAC advises programs and public health service centers at BPHC. It advises on communications, public awareness campaigns, programs and services, strategic planning, and policy development.
