The International Business Development team partners with global companies, consulates, trade organizations, and local partners to help international firms establish and grow their presence in Boston. Our team can support your business with:

Launched in 2024 with the GLOCAL (Global and Local): Diplomacy and Business Matchmaking Breakfast, the Global Business Connect Event Series convenes international business leaders, diplomats, and public sector partners. The series serves as the City’s platform for international market access, investment attraction, and cross-border partnership building. Together, these convenings reflect Boston’s commitment to supporting both international companies entering the region and Boston-based companies pursuing growth opportunities abroad. 

In 2026, the series broadened its impact through Global Business Connect Webinar: Statewide Incentives & Growth Opportunities, convening the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center to share incentive programs, sector-specific funding, and partnership opportunities for companies looking to establish or expand operations in Massachusetts.
