The City Archaeology Lab contains the office of the City Archaeologist, the Archaeology Classroom, the Processing Lab, and the Curation Facility.
The lab holds thousands of boxes containing the collections from 39 archaeological surveys excavated in the City of Boston. The Lab is also where all artifact processing occurs and report preparation is conducted. All archaeological digs end with a final report where we publish the results of the dig.
The lab is open Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., but you also need to make an appointment before you visit.
You can reach the Archaeology lab at 617-635-3097, or email email@example.com
