Faneuil Branch Boston Public Library
We performed a renovation and added a new addition to the Faneuil Branch Library.
The update features a full interior renovation with a new, accessible entry pavilion, a new children's wing, new community room, and new accessible bathroom. In this project, we also highlighted the 1931 Art Deco building’s existing architectural charm.

Age Strong Listening Session in collaboration with DEAF, INC - Brighton
We want to hear from you!
Age Strong is conducting a needs assessment to learn more about the needs, concerns, and priorities of Boston’s older adults. Information will be gathered via surveys, focus groups, and listening sessions to learn more about the experiences of older adults and their caregivers. The goal is to create an Age Strong Plan which aims to make Boston inclusive and accessible to people of all ages. This is a valuable opportunity to let your voice be heard! We want to hear your ideas about how we can make Boston a better place to age.
Language interpretation and translation services and disability accommodations are available to you at no cost. If you need them, please contact Ava Portela at ava.portela@boston.gov, or call 617-635-1953.

The park abuts community hubs, like the Jackson/Mann K-8 and Community Center complex and the West End Boys and Girls Club. Ringer Park offers year-round recreational activities for the neighborhood.

McKinney Playground is getting a full renovation! The improvements will feature a new and improved playground, a splash pad, natural turf athletic fields, sports lighting, a perimeter walking loop and much more!
McKinney Playground is a significant recreational resource for the bustling residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Oak Square, Brighton. The park was established in 1930. This beloved space will finally be getting the face lift it deserves! With the guidance of community input, the Parks Department turned McKinney Playground's 2016 Master Plan into a final Schematic Plan, and then after several more community meetings, into Construction Documents! The new design will help address drainage issues at the fields and will provide new spectator seating. The park's iconic existing trees will be protected and additional trees will be added around the play equipment and along Faneuil Street. The improvements feature new multi-use fields, sports lighting and other sports amenities, playground, splash pad, basketball, multi-use court, perimeter pathways, exercise equipment, and new park entrances!
