StreetCaster Sidewalk Fair
The StreetCaster Sidewalk Fair takes place on Monday, July 16, from 3 - 7 p.m. in the South End.
This event takes place at the intersection of Columbus Avenue, West Canton Street, and Appleton Street. The fair will be a celebration of the public realm, and will include:
- interactive activities to help design the the StreetCaster program
- information about Boston sidewalks
- information about 311
- stretches of sidewalk that will be repaired with new materials, technologies, and techniques, and
- partner demonstrations.

Rosalita’s Puppets Marionette Performances at Parks: Charlestown
Boston’s parks come alive with these whimsical puppet shows that will delight the child in everyone.
Experience the unique charm of Rosalita’s Puppets featuring marionettes made by professional actor-puppeteer Charlotte Anne Dore. Performances start at 11 a.m.
The event is free, but young children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of six or more must make prior arrangements by calling the Parks Department at 617-635-4505.
The puppet performances are part of our Children's Arts and Crafts Workshops taking place on the same day from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. The event is presented by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Holly and David Bruce.

BCYF Spelling Bee 2022
Boston Centers for Youth & Families invites you to join us for the 2022 BCYF Spelling Bee. The Boston Bruins Foundation sponsors this event.
The BCYF Spelling Bee recognizes the hard work of talented students from participating schools. They'll be competing for the chance to represent Boston at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Splash Dance Parties at Boston parks: Charlestown
Children are invited to cool off this summer, listen to music, and play games and dance in our spray features.
Splash Dance Parties take place in July and August at parks across Boston. These events are presented with support from Perfectly Free frozen treats and Hot 96.9.
The event is free, but young children must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of six or more must make prior arrangements by calling the Parks Department at 617-635-4505. The dance parties are part of our Children's Artist in Residence Workshop taking place on the same day from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
