Hello from the Blue Hill Avenue Transportation Action Plan team! Thank you to everyone who attended our first meeting on October 25. You can find a recording of the meeting and some main takeaways on the Blue Hill Avenue website.

The next public meeting will take place on Zoom on November 15, 2022, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. (EST). Please register for the event using this link. You can join the Zoom meeting from a phone or computer. Interpretation will be available in Spanish and Haitian Creole.

At this meeting, our engagement consultants will introduce themselves and talk about their goals for this process. We will then briefly recap October’s public meeting and respond to some questions we heard. Finally, we will have time for open discussion.

Welcome Home, Boston Open House

During the Fall of 2022, we will engage with the community about 70 City-owned lots largely in City Council District 4, just north and south of Talbot Avenue at Blue Hill Avenue, where we propose to make the first of these new homes a reality.

Join us for an Open House, which will feature detailed information about the first 70 parcels that will be offered for development and allow you to talk about the process and express your thoughts on what kind of housing you’d like to see built. 

Also at the event, Boston Home Center staff will explain the resources and increased financial assistance available to first-time homebuyers. Specifically, the Boston Home Center will be offering $15 million of ARPA funds will be utilized to support:

  • The ONE+Boston Mortgage Program, which provides down payment assistance of up to 10 percent  (5 percent from the City and 5 percent from the State) of the purchase price and a discount on today’s high interest rates
  • Homebuying 101 Classes
  • Credit Counseling
