On March 28, 2025, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020 Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through June 30, 2027. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually and to ensure its public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

Please join us for a joint reception and artist talk to celebrate "Time Stretches Slow", Genevieve Cohn’s first solo exhibition in Boston, and "Support Structures", Kate Holcomb Hale’s solo exhibition. The artists will lead an Artist Talk where they will share more about their practice and bring their works in dialogue.

The event will start at 5 p.m. at the Mezzanine Gallery located at the top of the stairs on the 3rd floor, and will transition to the Mayor’s Office Gallery located on the 5th floor at 7 p.m. Don’t miss your chance to connect with the artists and enjoy some light refreshments!

Please note the exhibitions will be on view through October 24, 2025.

Directions: Please use the entrance located on Congress St, across from Faneuil Hall. Pass security and take the elevators to the 3rd floor. The talk will take place at the top of the stairs.

Join us at Boston City Hall for the Opening Reception of the National Arts Program's sixth Boston edition, featuring 73 works by City of Boston employees and their families. The awards ceremony will recognize 14 awardees with selections made by a jury composed by Sophia Day, Operations Director of Gallery 263; Yolanda He Yang, Arts Engagement Manager at Pao Arts Center; and Beatriz Whitehill, Painting Studio Mentor at Artists for Humanity.

Located on the terrace above the playground at City Hall Plaza (pending City of Boston license approval), this two-hour drop-in event is for families and children under 12 who want to learn to ride and practice their riding skills. A variety of different sized bikes and helmets will be provided, and staff will be present to lead on-bike games and teach bike riding skills and safe riding tips and techniques.

Plan your visit

Individuals and familiesno registration is required. We will have waivers available at the site. 

Groups and schools: please email us so that we know to expect your group! Hand out waivers to students ahead of time so they can participate. Everyone that takes part in our program must have a signed waiver to ride bikes. Teachers / group leaders are responsible for collecting bringing signed waivers to the event.
