Join the Environment Department and Parks and Recreation as we mark Earth Day by cleaning up and learning more about Mattapan's urban wilds and open space! Registration is required.
Where: Between 199 and 204 Colorado Street
What is provided: All necessary tools, including gloves, pickers, bags, sharp containers and safety instruction.
Remember: Volunteers should wear work clothes (long pants) and close-toed shoes (that you don’t mind getting wet or dirty). Bring your own hat, sunscreen, raincoat, or jacket depending on the weather, as well as snacks and water.
Rain date: Sunday, April 25, however, may be cancelled due to severe weather.
COVID-19 safety protocols:- This event will be limited to 20 participants (we hope to offer drop in clean ups in the future).
- Face mask or covering is required for participants.
- Physical distancing between parties is required.
- Stay home if you feel sick.
- Do not participate if you have shown signs or symptoms or had exposure to sick individuals within 14 days of the event.

COVID-19 vaccination clinic for veterans
Join us on Wednesday, March 17, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. for a vaccination clinic for veterans of all ages enrolled in VA Healthcare.
- Masks and physical distancing are required.
- The clinic will be first-come, first-served.
- The clinic is now open to all enrolled veterans of all ages.
- You must be enrolled in VA Healthcare. Call 877-222-8387 to enroll.
- VA Boston offers both the Moderna and Janssen COVID-19 vaccines. Veterans will be offered a vaccine based on clinical need and vaccine inventory. For those receiving the Moderna vaccine, a second dose will be scheduled for April 17, 2021. For those receiving the Janssen vaccine, a second shot is not needed.
- Transportation will be provided by DAV Department of Massachusetts. Any veteran requiring transportation to the clinic can call 617-340-9517. Transportation is limited so please call for availability.

Cummins Highway reconstruction office hours
We look forward to talking with you about the future reconstruction of Cummins Highway in Mattapan.
You can select any available 15-minute appointment time to speak with a member of the project team. Led by the City of Boston Public Works Department, this project will create an accessible, green, and safe corridor.
We are currently offering appointments every other Wednesday from 3 - 7 p.m.
