Serve and Learn: Tree Planting At Roslindale Wetlands Urban Wild

Join Urban Wilds staff and the Roslindale Wetlands Taskforce in this spring's Serve and Learn event!

A Serve and Learn event is a special chance for community members to learn about wildlife, plants, and how we can care for our natural world. Not only can people "learn" through these events, but they can also put their newfound knowledge to work during the "serve" portion.

In this Serve and Learn, Urban Wilds staff will lead lessons on proper tree and shrub planting techniques as well as invasive plant management. Volunteers will get the chance to plant trees and practice their weeding skills. Many thanks to the Longfellow Area Neighborhood Association's Roslindale Wetlands Taskforce for crowdsourcing funds for new trees and shrubs.

We have two routes:

Evening (City Hall Plaza to Brighton/Allston):

On March 29, 2023, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020 Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through March 31, 2025. Free Winter Bike Repair Workshop - Roslindale

Join us for a free, hands-on workshop! We do all basic bike repair including: patch flat tires, align brakes, and adjust gears and shifters.
