the Rotary Clubs of Kyoto South and Boston #7 invite you the international friendship ceremony at which a Japanese Stewartia tree will be planted in the Boston Public Garden.
In 2019 Boston and Kyoto, Japan will celebrate our 60th Anniversary as Sister Cities. Signed in 1959, Kyoto is Boston’s first Sister City. To celebrate the 60th anniversary, the Rotary Clubs of Kyoto South and Boston #7 invite you the international friendship ceremony at which a Japanese Stewartia tree will be planted in the Boston Public Garden.

This is a rain or shine event. The celebrations will continue at the Japan Festival happening in the Boston Common on Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28.

Join us at City Hall as the Mayors of Boston and Kyoto reaffirm our commitment to our historic Sister City relationship.

Join us at City Hall as the Mayors of Boston and Kyoto reaffirm our commitment to our historic Sister City relationship. Program to include remarks by:

- Hideaki Ogawa, President, Rotary International Club of Kyoto South
