Mark your calendar and bring your friends and family to a fun and free Neighborhood Fun Fest Party and learn more about your neighborhood community center! The Fun Fest will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 5-7 p.m. at BCYF Blackstone Community Center, 50 West Brookline Street in the South End.
The BCYF Fun Fest will offer a variety of free activities including music, a cookout, DJ and dance party, ice cream, children’s activities, giveaways, a salsa class, bouncy house, photo booth and information about BCYF Blackstone Community Center’s programming and activities.
In the case of rain or other weather issues, please check BCYF’s social media pages, @BCYFCenters, for updates. Additional Fun Fests will be held over the course of the summer at other BCYF centers including July 25 at BCYF Curtis Hall in Jamaica Plain, August 8 at BCYF Charlestown Community Center and August 22 at BCYF Marshall Community Center in Dorchester. Our public bike share is coming to a street near you! We want your help in finding the best spots.
We are adding to our public bike share system in every Boston neighborhood. In this phase we are focusing on these neighborhoods: Beacon Hill, Chinatown, Downtown, North End, South End, and the West End.
At this open house event, we will show maps and site plans of our proposed station sites. We will answer questions and take your comments.
The content will be the same at all three open houses in this phase.

On March 29, 2023, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020 Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through March 31, 2025. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually. This enables the PFC to conduct its usual business while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
