This year, the City of Boston and the City of Kyoto, Japan, will celebrate our 60th Anniversary as Sister Cities. Signed in 1959, Kyoto is Boston’s first-ever Sister City. 

Join us at City Hall as the Mayors of Boston and Kyoto reaffirm our commitment to our historic Sister City relationship. Program to include remarks by:

  • Martin J. Walsh, Mayor of Boston
  • Daisaku Kadokawa, Mayor of Kyoto, Japan
  • Hideaki Ogawa, President, Rotary International Club of Kyoto South
